Deirdre Dee is creator and lead coach of Creative Retreats, she lives in East Devon after a career in the corporate world, using her creativity,organisational and coaching skills to design creative, restful retreats which offer a welcome sanctuary from modern life.
After many years in the corporate events world, a traumatic family event, set Deirdre on a path of continual self- development. Having trained and qualified with Distinction as a Life Coach, Deirdre delved futher into practices such as Neuro Linguistic Programming, DiSC Personal Profiling, Emotional Freedom Techniques, Hypnotherapy and Art Therapy. The idea to set up retreats and put all these skills and beliefs into practice came after Deirdre and her husband moved to East Devon in 2006. Struck by the beauty of the the countryside and by meeting many other skilled therapists and practitioners, Deirdre evolved the idea of creating beautiful, possibly even spiritual retreats for people who are either in the throes of making momentous decisions, going through cathartic life changes or simply feeling that they need to switch off for a while in a calm, and safe environment. In coaching, we talk about "holding the space" and here at Creative Retreats, we hold you in that metaphorical safe place, while you let go, relax, maybe even experiment a little with ideas, arts, crafts, local ecology or simply enjoy a pamper day retreat where you can both relax and experience the countryside at it's most restful and beautiful whatever the season.
